Paperbark Law’s founding attorney was the CEO of a national franchise for 10 years before turning her sights to becoming a franchise and business lawyer. Having been through the establishment, growth, franchising, and private sale of a successful business, she can uniquely relate to clients in their positions as business owners and entrepreneurs.
As a boutique law firm, we aim to provide a modern and approachable experience for our clients.
Most transactional work is done on a flat-rate basis. We handle incoming calls ourselves, so that clients can (hopefully) find some direction on their first phone call. We don’t write in legalese, and we won’t over-lawyer a deal. We want our clients to get the legal support they need without pretension or runarounds.
Paperbark Law provides legal and advising services in business, intellectual property, and select areas of family law. Many of our clients are entering new life ventures--whether that be taking the steps to franchise an already-successful business, purchasing a franchise, or starting a new business entirely. We assist clients in nearly all business legal matters, including the formation of entities, drafting and reviewing purchase agreements, licensing agreements, operating agreements, leases, employment contracts, and several other small or medium business contracts.
In the family law arena, we represent clients in transactional and consulting roles, including the drafting and review of prenuptial agreements, divorce consulting, and wills.
If you're curious about our services in franchising, small business, or prenuptial agreements, get in touch.
